Quad City Lifestyle Photographer
I’m a mother, a wife, an artist, and an early childhood educator. I’m pretty reflective and I’m also quite nostalgic. I have a self-confessed coffee addiction and could drink it all day long, I sometimes do! I am a sucker for romantic comedies- I mean love AND laughter - you can’t go wrong with that combo! I love to play with my kids and enjoy doing anything art-related with them (watercolors, sketching, clay, etc.). I crave creativity and seek it in all that I do. I picked up my first DSLR camera in 2010, before I even had children, and I have never looked back. Making photographs fills my heart with joy. I love being able to document moments and to tell stories through imagery. I photograph my own family every day. There is just something about knowing that I will never lose the moments that I capture through my lens. Photography has truly changed the way that I see the world, too. I find myself noticing beauty in the mundane, seeking light and focusing on colors, textures, lines and shadows (even when my camera is not near) - I am so thankful for the way it has shaped my mind’s eye to “see.”
I am drawn toward capturing images that show authentic connections, emotions and relationships. I absolutely love photographing families as they interact together - every family has a unique story and I get to help to capture that - how cool is that?! I also really enjoy photographing children. I just love when you can look at an image of a child and see their personality shine through. I find joy in capturing the essence of childhood in it’s simplicity - filled with wonder, imagination and curiosity. If only we could all still see the world through children’s eyes - it would be so beautiful!
